A bunch of individuals performing as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigators stormed a businessman’s residence in Kolkata’s Bhowanipore space and allegedly looted Rs 30 lakh and jewelry, information company PTI reported citing some police sources.
Suresh Wadhwa, 60, filed a grievance at Bhowanipore police station when a gang of 7-8 males performing as CBI officers barged into his house on Rupchand Mukherjee lane at round 8 am on Monday and commenced what they claimed was a “raid”.
“The lads arrived in three automobiles having police stickers pasted on them. I opened the door they usually barged in telling me that they’re CBI officers. I had requested them to indicate their id playing cards, however they didn’t hassle,” Wadhwa was quoted as saying by PTI.
The businessman said that the lads left with Rs 30 lakh in money and jewelry price a number of lakhs, and that the “seizure checklist” can be despatched to him later.

After the businessman filed a grievance, Kolkata Police launched an investigation.
A senior police officer revealed that detectives from Kolkata Police’s detective part, along with colleagues from Bhowanipore Police Station, have begun an investigation into the “crime”.
In line with the preliminary inquiry, the lads who participated within the “operation” at Wadhwa’s home had been tall and well-built, they usually had been carrying “lathis.”
