
An 11-year-old boy is in a vital situation in hospital after being hit by a police van in Lancaster.
Lancashire Police stated the boy was taken to hospital after the incident on Owen Highway at simply earlier than 8.30pm on Thursday.
The collision occurred because the boy was crossing the street and as officers had been responding to an emergency name, police stated.
The street is at the moment closed and the boy has been taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Lancashire Police stated an investigation is underway and that it had referred the matter to the Impartial Workplace for Police Conduct “as is commonplace with an incident of this nature”.
