The Duchess of Sussex thanked Gloria Steinem for her “unbelievable friendship” as she accepted the Ladies of Imaginative and prescient Award at a gala in New York on Tuesday night.
In her first public look with Prince Harry since skipping the Coronation, the Duchess of Sussex thanked Ms Steinam, 89, “for [being] the inspiration that you’re, to your mentorship, your sage recommendation, your terribly cheeky sense of humour and, in fact, to your unbelievable friendship”.
Wearing a £1,500 gold strapless gown, the mother-of-two walked on stage to Woman on Fireplace by Alicia Keys, earlier than hugging Ms Steinem and praising the others recognised that night for the “vital and significant work that you just do”, MailOnline reported.
“Whereas I used to be accustomed to most of your work earlier than tonight, nothing might evaluate to the main focus, the willpower, the power I really feel from every of you, particularly as all of us bear witness to you standing within the class and the ability of your energy”, she stated.
