Govt Receives 38 Bids In Three Rounds Of Commercial Coal Mines’ Auctions

A complete of 38 bids have been obtained by the coal ministry throughout three rounds of economic coal mines’ auctions, it stated on Tuesday, the PTI reported. The coal ministry in an announcement stated that the net bids obtained as a part of the public sale course of shall be opened on Tuesday from 10 am onwards within the presence of potential bidders. 

“The final date for submission of on-line technical bids for all of the coal mines was 1200 hours on June 27, 2022, and offline submission was 1600 hours on June 27, 2022,” it stated.

In line with the coal ministry assertion, a complete of 28 offline bids have been obtained in opposition to 15 coal mines below fifth tranche of economic mines’ public sale. Below second try of third tranche, a complete of 9 coal mines have been put up on the market and 6 bids have been obtained in opposition to them, the assertion stated. Below second try of fourth spherical, a complete of 4 coal mines have been put up for auctions and 4 bids have been obtained in opposition to three coal mines.

In line with the report, the fifth spherical, second try of fourth and third tranche of economic coal mine auctions, have been launched by the the coal ministry in March.

In 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the public sale of 41 coal mines for industrial mining. He stated that this can be a main step in making India self-reliant in vitality sector.

Whereas launching the public sale of mines for industrial mining, the prime minister stated India will win the coronavirus struggle and switch this disaster into a chance, and the pandemic will make India self-reliant.
