The actor and director James Franco has been accused of being “utterly insensitive” and of inflicting “immense ache and struggling” after an interview made public on Wednesday during which he admitted to sleeping with college students at his appearing college and claimed that he suffered from intercourse dependancy.
A statement from lawyers representing two girls who introduced a civil go well with in opposition to Franco in 2019 stated that Franco, who made feedback on SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle Podcast, was “utterly insensitive to, and nonetheless apparently doesn’t care about, the immense ache and struggling he put his victims by”.
The assertion added: “[Franco] continues to downplay the survivors’ experiences and ignore their ache, regardless of acknowledging he had no enterprise beginning such a faculty within the first place … It was, and is, despicable conduct.”
