J&K: Encounter Breaks Out Between Militants, Security Forces In South Kashmir’s Shopian Area

New Delhi: An encounter broke out between militants and safety forces in Shirmal space of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, police mentioned. In keeping with a report by information company IANS, the firefight began after a joint staff of police and safety forces received details about the presence of terrorists in that space.

“Encounter has began at Shirmal space of Shopian. Police and safety forces are on the job,” police mentioned.

Terrorists hiding within the space began firing because the police approached, drawing retaliation by the safety forces. The realm has been cordoned off by the safety forces, police added.
