New Delhi: The late Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s property in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, which belonged to the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) organisation was hooked up by authorities on Tuesday. Three properties belonging to the banned Jamat-e Islami (JeI) have been sealed by the district Justice of the Peace (DM) of Srinagar. These properties embrace two storied residential buildings constructed on 17 Marlas of proprietary land at Barzulla, Srinagar, and registered within the title of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
The property in Srinagar’s Barzalla neighborhood, in line with officers, belonged to the banned JeI and had been bought in his title.
After the applying for attachment was made by the state investigation company (SIA), which has been trying into the connections to the phobia funding racket and the varied properties that had been created with these funds, the property was taken by district Justice of the Peace Srinagar.
The DM cited communication No. within the December 19 order. In accordance with State Investigation Company (SIA) doc SIA/SN/FIR-17/2019/7738-42 dated December 16, 2022, the investigation of case FIR No. 17/2019, pursuant to sections 10, 11, and 13 of the UA(P) Act of P/S Batamaloo, which is at the moment the topic of an investigation by P/S SIA, three (3) properties have surfaced.

Survey Quantity 1388/307 at Barzulla, Srinagar, recorded within the names of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, son of Syed Peer Shah Geelani, and Firdous Ahmad Asmi, son of Ghulam Nabi Asmi, in accordance with mutation No. 2646.
In accordance with the DM, after reviewing the Income File for the aforementioned properties and acquiring the report from the involved Tehsildar, it was found that these properties are owned by the banned Jamat-e-Islami affiliation by means of its members.
“AND WHEREAS, on perusal of the information and different linked paperwork, I, District Justice of the Peace Srinagar, am glad that there’s enough materials to inform the above-mentioned properties underneath the stated Act,” the order stated.
The order requested the lead District Supervisor for data and gave him the order to grab all accounts of the banned organisation, whether or not they had been within the names of members or affiliated items, and instantly present a compliance report.
