Massive Eviction Drive Underway In Assam To Free 1000 Bigha Land From Encroachers

The Assam authorities is finishing up an enormous eviction drive at Bhumuraguri Grazing reserve, Jamai Basti, Rampur, Kadamoni areas to free round 1000 Bigha land from encroachers. A JCB is tearing down unlawful buildings on the land. 

In keeping with ANI, round 800 safety personnel have been deployed at Batadraba for the graceful implementation of the anti-encroachment drive. 

Explaining the initiative of the administration, Leena Doley, Superintendent of Police of Nagaon district mentioned, “Civil administration had earlier issued discover as a result of these are the federal government’s plots of land. From Dec 13, safety personnel are tenting right here and conducting flag march. Many encroachers have already left the realm.” 

“As per our report, there have been 302 buildings on the federal government land and as of now, there are 72 buildings within the space. We now have acquired full cooperation from the locals. Now the eviction drive is occurring peacefully. We hope to have the ability to free the 1000 bigha of land,” the SP added, quoted ANI. 

The eviction drive started early within the Santijan bazaar space with the deployment of over 600 safety personnel and to this point, it has been peaceable, Doley informed reporters including that the eviction drive is being carried out in 4 villages to clear encroached authorities land 

“After Santijan Bazaar we are going to clear land within the Haidubi space and relying on the time taken there, we are going to take a choice on finishing up the drive within the remaining two villages”, Doley mentioned, reported PTI.
