Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s alleged killer was “mendacity in wait” for his supposed goal on the night of the taking pictures, a court docket has heard.
The nine-year-old was fatally shot at her residence in Dovecot, Liverpool, simply after 10pm on August 22, 2022.
Her mom, Cheryl Korbel, 46, was injured within the taking pictures because the gunman chased convicted burglar Joseph Nee, into their residence.
Thomas Cashman, 34, denies the homicide of Olivia, the tried homicide of Nee, the wounding with intent of Ms Korbel and two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to hazard life.
Opening the trial at Manchester Crown Court docket, David McLachlan KC, prosecuting, stated on August 22 final 12 months Cashman had two loaded firearms in his possession and was “mendacity in wait” for Mr Nee, who was “doubtless the supposed goal”.
